Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways.
The civil department of the faculty for the first time, actively started teaching with the establishment of the faculty in 2011 with having 95 students. There are totally 9 lecturers in this department, of whom 4 are engaged in higher educations in abroad (Japan and Iran) to gain their master’s and doctorate degrees and 5 of them are continuing the teaching affairs in the department. And out of the 5 lecturers that are currently teaching at the department, one has a doctorate degree, two of them have master’s degrees and two of them have bachelor’s degrees.
In the past seven years, the number of students of this department in has reached 803 people, of which 38 students are graduates of the first cycle, 51 are graduates of the second cycle, 63 are graduates of the third cycle, 86 graduates of the fourth cycle and 79 of them were graduates of the fifth cycle who were offered to serve the society.
Mission
The civil department of the Faculty of Engineering sees the problems in front of the development of the society and people's lives and considers it its duty to participate in the elimination of these problems through the scientific training of the young generation. Therefore, we are trying to expand our scientific programs and make our social problems the subjects of researches.
Vision
The civil department of the Faculty of Engineering is trying to hire talented staff and those with high academic degrees for the sacred job of teaching in order to teach students according to new and modern teaching methods and to provide the society with youths having good workability and professional abilities.
